A Backlog of Outfits, and a plea for help

I’ve been a bit disappointed with my blog recently. It doesn’t seem to look as nice as some I’ve seen, and I am always paranoid that no-one wants to read it. I don’t know if the layout works or not, or even if it’s interesting. So, my question to you is: what can I do to improve it? I welcome any and all suggestions as I want this to be worthwhile for everyone 🙂 Thank you!!

On a different note, I am slightly behind with showing you some outfits!! I have some from before my new cheesecloth dress, and then some more recent ones. Firstly, a mixture of B&W patterns 🙂 The top is actually a leotard that I bought from ASOS in the sale. I wasn’t sure that I’d wear it much, but I’m hoping that it may come into use for dancing next year. I seem to be wearing a lot of monochrome at the moment, usually with a bright colour such as pink or red. The rest of the outfit: short, cardigan and black necklace all from charity shops, tights from New Look, silver and black necklace from Boohoo.

Outfit number 2, from the beginning of June! Back home for summer by now too 🙂 I have worn this dress so much since getting it in the second clothes swap..it is just really really comfy and yet can be dressed up! Usually I wear it with black tights, but they were in the wash, so I tried the red. Might have to wear it like this more often 😛 Rest of the outfit: belt is a tie from a polo neck top, tights from Primark, brogues charity shopped and then my Mummy’s scissor necklace 🙂

Another recent purchase 😛 Hehe I should stop buying! Actually I have decided to start a ‘one in, one out’ regime. So far it is working really well, in fact by having a more critical eye I am buying less and getting rid of more! Anyway…this top is actually a medium size, from the Pussycat range at New Look. I don’t usually go for khaki, but the stripes on the top part and the sheen of the skirt fabric won me over 🙂 It is another ‘really comfy but kind of smart looking’ option. Rest of the outfit: jeans from a seconds shop, shoes from Mum (she got them from a charity shop, originally Peacocks), cardigan ad jewellery – charity shop. One other thing…one of the necklaces is a gold acorn! I saw it in a charity shop during Lent but of course couldn’t buy it. However, when I went back a few weeks after Lent finished, it was still there!! I couldn’t believe my luck, so treated myself 🙂 Yes, I know I don’t need any more jewellery, but you know me…I just can’t help it!! Hehe

And on that note I will leave you. I have another three left to share…but I’ll save them for another day. Plus, I still have the rest of my recent shopping haul 😛 Oh well, I’ll get there. I’ve been choreographing a belly dance today…and I think I have nearly finished it. Hopefully I can finish that off soon, so that I can then make myself familiar enough with it to teach it in September!!

One last thing – ”Never wear anything that panics the cat.”  ~P.J. O’Rourke 😛

I love reading your blog, but that’s possibly because I know you already and like blogs 🙂 Maybe you could try changing the font or something to make it look a little more quirky (but still readable!)

Also, that quote at the end is genius!

Never wear anything that panics the cat – I absolutely love that!

Oh but I love your blog as it is 😛 I like the way you present a variety of outfits, combined with other elements and thoughts 🙂

So very often I have doubts and worries about my blog. Do people like what I’m writing? Are my pictures good enough? Is my layout too ugly? What you have to do is throw all those questions and worries out the window and do what you want with your blog. Because when you’re happy with your blog and not trying to make other people happy that’s the best blog you can make ❤

I’d like to see more poetry, but other than that I like your blog the way it is 🙂 Perhaps try a different background to see if you prefer the change?
