Leafy

16.10.13 leafy 007A leafy glade,
A sheltered spot.
A place to hide away.
Covered by the canopy above.
Protected from the rain.

The wind blows through.
An icy breeze,
Cutting you to the bone.
The leaves no protection now,
They part and wave and fly.

The light gleams through,
A shaft of sun.
Lighting up the glade.
Catches the colours
Of green, yellow and brown.

The rain has gone.
The sun, it shines.
The wind is always there.
But the leaves remain, above and below
To make your leafy home.

‘Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.’ ~ Albert Camus

About awishisarainbow

I have recently finished my degree in Linguistics, and now living back in Mid Wales facing the real world. I love to travel and take photographs. However, I spend more time making clothes and jewellery, and just generally filling my wardrobe with all the colours of the rainbow!!
